Technology Trends in 2010

My own thoughts on tech trends based on what I've read.

1. E-books are going to be hot. Add this to the new tablets that are coming out and you have a match made in heaven.

2. Continued growth in smart phones - only they are going to get even smarter. With iPhones, HTCs, BlackBerrys, Nexus Ones flooding the market - you can't really expect less.

3. Desktops. With everyone getting smaller notebooks and phones the coming year, you will want to come home to something big - a big screen desktop.

4. Applications. Enough said.

5. New game consoles or new types of games. I think everyone realises by now that this market just keeps growing and growing. Just when you think you have every gamer out there already, one more gets converted. This is one industry that will keep innovating for some time to come since many of them in the industry are the creatives.
